May Happenings

We were very pleased to see that the Umamu Chardonnay won Decanter Gold at the London International Wine Fair.

We have noticed that the rosé wines have become very popular with the slight rise in temperature.  Check out our Pinot Grigio, Ceravolo and Auntsfield Pretty Horses rosés.

We were delighted to see our favourite delivery driver dropping off some new wines which Mum and Dad have just ordered in to be featured in our new wine list. There is a great range of new Australian wines to try called Ceravolo.

March Happenings

Posted by Heidi & Clara on 31 March 2010

Well, we have had a really busy month with so many suppliers coming to visit with lots of new and interesting wines. We loved meeting Lorna from the Auntsfield Estate. Did you know that she came all the way to East Linton to meet us as part of her 6 week world business tour? Lorna came to do a dinner at Tyninghame Hall but obviously the real reason for the visit was to meet us!

Another visitor we were really pleased to see was our old friend, Carlos, who is our Spain/South America specialist who had some great new wines for Mum and Dad to try, watch out for these wines appearing on our wine list.

Man O’ War Syrah 2008 was recently included in Tim Atkin’s column in The Times as one of his ‘six of the best from New Zealand’. “I can’t remember the last time I was as impressed by a Syrah from outside the Rhone Valley. This comes from Waiheke Island and shows savoury, pepper spice notes, oodles of blackberry fruit and smooth tannins.”
